80: Naked Truth
NAKED TRUTH
Men and women are at war. I’m talking about the super charged battle of the sexes spearheaded by the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
The lines are drawn, and each day the genders become more polarized.
Many women are stepping forward and expressing their pent up rage. This podcast does not takes sides.
Today’s guest is a smart, independent, powerful woman. Her name is Sonya Cote. She was a proud professional stripper. She is a jazz singer, an actress, an author, and a mom.
Sonya has every justification to hate men. She was brutally abused at the age of two. She was sexually assaulted as an infant by a neighbor who took advantage of her parents’ trust.
She even wound up living on the same street as her assailant as an adult. She did not seek revenge or punishment. She forgave and moved on with her life.
I don’t know that I would have done the same in her place. Meeting her and talking with her filled me with admiration and respect.
You will find her story inspiring, uplifting, and empowering.
You are in for a treat when you listen to this funny, intelligent, warm, unique woman reveal the details of her life journey.
I am proud to call Sonya Cote my friend.
